Gifting Botox, Liposuction in Demand This Holiday Season

A latest survey shows that many people are opting to gift aesthetic procedures to their friends and family.

Survey done by researchers at American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), shows that gifting botox is becoming a latest trend among people.

"I had one patient come in and say that she was giving 'Few' this year," Dr Julius Few, Chicago-based plastic surgeon told Elle. "At first I didn't know how to take it, but it's a sign of the times I think." Dr Few explained.

He said that he sold over 50 gift cards so far this holiday season. Most of the gift cards included lower priced procedures such as medical-grade peels that cost between $150 and $200.

"It's a sign of the times," said Dr Julian Few," who refers himself as "Few." Apart from Botox gifts buyers, he had patients who bought gift certificates for a syringe of Voluma, the newly FDA-approved filler on the market. The procedure's effects last twice as long as other procedures, reported Elle.  Just one syringe costs nearly $1,500.

Dr Few also had patients who bought gift certificates for liposuction and neck lift for their wives. "Instead of going on a trip or something, they decide they want to do that special thing for their spouse," Dr. Few said. Furthermore, the some wives already came to him for the consultation.

So, still thinking what to gift your loved ones this season? If you are not too tight on your budget gifting these aesthetic procedures is not a bad idea after all.
