Teenage Girl Had an Abortion but Finds Out She's Still Pregnant Three Months Later

A teenager opted to undergo abortion after finding out she was pregnant but three months later realizes that the baby is still in her womb, the Daily Mail reports.

Shannon Skinner, 19, was still grieving the loss of her unborn child three months after she became pregnant but was told by doctors that there was no need to feel so. This is because she still pregnant and is currently five months on the way. Miss Skinner went to Marie Stopes clinic for the procedure which involves taking two separate doses of drugs. Her decision was brought about by her belief that it was still too soon to give birth to a second child when she already had a daughter, Lacie.

Skinner and the clinic were both unaware that the treatment failed because it was a highly unlikely that it would. When Shannon continued to experience morning sickness and claimed that she felt movements in her womb, she was given a pregnancy test to do at home and found out that she was still positive but another visit to the doctor showed that she wasn't really pregnant and said that it may just be a result of her abortion procedure.

Later on, after further tests, it was once again that she was pregnant and her unborn child had survived the induced miscarriage. "We thought she had gone. I had grieved for that baby and we'd just managed to get our heads around it," she said. "Anthony and I felt like we'd made the right decision because we were having problems and we didn't think it was right to bring a baby into that. I'd always been one of those people that was against abortions and hated them, but I was suffering with postnatal depression."
