1. Exercise Your Rights

When you start feeling awkward and uncomfortable while feeding your baby, just remember that public breastfeeding is legal. Do not forget that what you are doing is a great and noble thing. You are feeding your baby, helping him grow and keeping him strong and healthy.

2. Practice In Front Of A Mirror In Your House

One of the best tips for public breastfeeding is to practice in front of a mirror inside your home. It can help you find the proper angle and positioning while breastfeeding in public.

3. Choose The Right Outfit

Choosing clothes that are comfortable and will allow the baby easy access to your breast is recommended. "You can buy (or sew) specially-made nursing clothes that have hidden openings to make breastfeeding easier, or you can put together nursing outfits from ordinary clothes," Today's Parent suggests.

Wearing loose shirts and stretchable sports bra can also make things easier for you and your baby. You can also use blankets or shawls for more cover.

4. Choose The Right Public Spot

Picking the most appropriate spot outside your home is one of the best tips for public breastfeeding. "An out-of-the-way table in a restaurant (or a booth - if you can fit and maneuver comfortably), or even a quiet corner or dressing room in a department store will offer some privacy," What To Expect shares. You can also look for special nursing rooms which are available in many public places.
