Buddy TV previously reported that "Bones" is renewed for season 12, yes fans rejoiced. Unfortunately, their delight was cut short after learning that "Bones" season 12 will be the last in the series.

The "Bones" stars are happy with the success of the show and extended their gratitude to their fans who have been supporting the show in the last years. "This is for the fans! Thank you to everyone at Fox and of course [network co-chairmen] Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman] - for all your support," David Boreanaz told TVLine.

Meanwhile, another "Bones" star Emily Deschanel teases that the show will have the ending it deserves in "Bones" season 12. They dedicate this to their amazing supporters and loyal fans.

Producers Want Zack Addy Back For "Bones" Season 12

Speaking of the ending it deserves the "Bones" executive producer Michael Peterson confirms to TVLine that they are planning to bring Eric Millegan's character, Zack Addy back in "Bones" season 12. According to Peterson, bringing back Millegan in the last season is the right thing to do.

"I will say this: I know what the fans want, and as much of a roller coaster ride as we may put them through, we want to deliver," Peterson said. "I watched the show before I was ever writing on the show, and I think what Eric brought to that character was fantastic. I'll make a promise to try really hard to make it happen."
