Drake, 'Views From The 6': Self-Proclaimed Heir To Jay Z Drops New Album, 'One Dance' Hits #1 In Canadian Chart

The "Views From The 6" album from Drake, self-proclaimed heir to Jay-Z, is finally out. "Views From The 6" hits the market just a few days after "One Dance" gives Drake the number spot in the Canadian Hot 100.

According to Metro, the "Views From The 6" single is the first time Drake gets to enjoy the number one position in Canada. Drake features Wizkid and Kyla Rose in "One Dance." Drake came close to grabbing the number one post with "Hotline Bling."

"Views From The 6" has 20 track offerings, including "One Dance" and "Hotline Bling." New York Times reports that producer Noah '40' Shebib worked with Drake on the album. According to Noah Shehib, music from "Views From The 6" test new boundaries and will characteristically by non-traditional.

Drake developed "Views From The 6" with Toronto as his inspiration. The album cover, which shows Drake on top of the Toronto's CN Tower, is generating as much buzz for "Views From The 6" as the tracks themselves.

However, Drake actually found as much inspiration on solid ground as from the heights. Working on "Views From The 6" was a special time for Drake because he was able to drive on his own again, without guards and a driver. According to The Fader, Drake has a special love for driving mostly because this is where he brings inspirations together.

Drake said he hopes that "Views From The 6" would keep his listeners company wherever they may be going to or coming from. "Sometimes those drives are heavy, man, depending on what happened where you came from and what's about to happen where you're going," Drake said.

"Views From The 6" is currently exclusively available on Apple Music and iTunes. Fans can expect to hear a different Drake in style, flow, and cadence in "Views From The 6."
