'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast, News & Update: 'Bad Blood' Singer Taylor Swift NOT Playing Dazzler In The Film

There is no doubt that Taylor Swift is a versatile artist. She can write songs, sing well, dance and act. Due to her impressive talent, it will not be a surprise to see her on TV and maybe in the big screens. According to new reports, the "Bad Blood" singer will be playing Dazzler in the upcoming superhero flick, "X-Men: Apocalypse." Unfortunately, other sources claimed it's not true.

Taylor Swift As Dazzler In 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

Metro reported that Taylor Swift would have a cameo in "X-Men: Apocalypse." The "Blank Space" singer has been linked to the character for several months already, but there were no confirmation if Swift is indeed joining the mutant superheroes in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Last year, "X-Men: Apocalypse" writer and producer Simon Kinberg posted a photo of him and the rest of the cast members, Sophie Turner and James McAvoy on set with Taylor Swift. The said photo started the speculation that the "Shake It Off" songstress is joining the cast of "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Meanwhile, the "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner, who is set to play the young Jean Grey in the film also posted a photo of her with Cyclops holding a magazine with Dazzler's record. Turner captioned it with a reference to Taylor Swift's 1989 album. "#FlashbackFriday to that time Cyclops and I went shopping at the mall and found our favorite singer's album (pre 1989, of course)," she wrote.

Due to the different posts involving Taylor Swift to "X-Men: Apocalypse," many were convinced that she will be part of the film. Entertainment Weekly reported that it makes sense for Taylor Swift to join the film. Meanwhile, Yahoo added, "While nothing about [the] photo [of Swift with Kinberg, McAvoy and Turner] suggested it was taken on set, 'Apocalypse' was in production at the time, and it was certainly enough to imply that Swift may have had some involvement in the film."

While it's great to see Taylor Swift in "X-Men: Apocalypse," according to Gossip Cop, reports linking the singer and songwriter to Dazzler are not true. Swift's rep told the publication that she would not appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse." Per the report, as for the photo of Swift with Kinberg and the rest of the cast, she happened to be in Montreal at the time because of her 1989 shows in Canada.
