'League of Legends' News & Update: Riot Introduces A New Playable Champion, Taliyah; Some Players Not Pleased With The Character's Design

"League of Legends" is one of the most popular free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena with real-time strategy video games. According to new reports, Riot introduces a new champ in the title named, Taliyah.

According to TwinFinite, Taliyah has earthbending abilities. Her kit focuses on position, movement and ground manipulation. Here are some of her abilities that will surely make her one of the most wanted champ in "League of Legends."

First, Taliyah has the ability to turn an area under her feet into "worked ground" where she moves faster. The "worked ground" will last for a few minutes. If she cast this ability again, she will throw another projectile per iDigital Times.

Second, the new "League of Legends" champ has similarities with Vel'koz's knock up but with a longer delay. Taliyah can pick a spot on the ground and after a delay, knock anyone standing on it. If she recast this skill, the enemy will be thrown in any direction.

Third, Taliyah flips over a bunch of boulders on the field. After a delay, there will be a huge damage to whoever is left standing on it. This ability can be used as wave clear and burst in teamfights.

Fourth, the "League of Legends" developers gave Taliyah the ability to create a wall on the Rift where she can glide on top of it. This wall is massive and she can travel from the base all the way to the middle. With this ganking tool, players can use their ultimate in the river and gank bot lane to prevent enemies from escaping.

Some 'League of Legends' Player Wants A More Sexy Taliya

According to Kotaku, the new "League of Legends" champion is similar to "Avatar: THe Last Airbender," a show that is well-received. While most love Taliyah's design some other "League of Legends" players want a more sexy character.

One user named Vessel, commented on the video, "second ugliest girl after illaoi." Another "League of Legends" gamer said, "we need more hot girls like rek'sai." Bad Blur, on the other hand, can't tell what's wrong with the design if it is Taliyah's nose or eyebrows. She feels it's the latter.

Although those comments were in the minority, "League of Legends" champion designer Daniel Klein explained in a lengthy post how Riot ended up with the design. Klein wrote that restricting body types is limiting the creators. So, for those who want to see a sexy Taliyah similar to the other female characters, Riot is showing their creativity in their new champion by giving her a new figure.

"Look at how cohesive all of Taliyah is. Who she is, what she does, what she looks like...They make sense taken as a whole. Why does she look the way she looks? Because it MADE SENSE," Klein concluded.
