‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Season 7 Latest Spoilers, News & Update: 3 Reasons Why Fans Should Watch The Final Season Of TNT’s Hit Crime Series

"Rizzoli & Isles" is currently on hiatus following the crucial cliffhanging conclusion of its sixth season. But the upcoming premiere of "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 is fast approaching with only one month left and as fans are getting more excited.

"Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 is the much-anticipated conclusion to Detective Jane Rizzoli and Dr. Maura Isles' saga of solving the most challenging crimes in Boston. Unfortunately, the series' final will only be a 13-episode series, the second shortest episode ordered by TNT network after the 10-episode "Rizzoli & Isles" season 1.

Prior to "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7, the cliffhanging finale of the previous season left many unanswered and burning questions. So, as fans await "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 premiere, here are 3 reasons why they should watch the series' last hoorah.

1. Fans Will See Maura And Jane's Personal Side In 'Rizzoli & Isles' Season 7

As Boston's coolest crime-busting tandem put an end to their story, actress Sasha Alexander, who portrays the role of chief medical examiner Maura Isles, wanted TNT to show Maura and Jane in a more personal manner. In an interview, Alexander said she's hopeful that "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 will show them more as women, rather than being a detective or a medical examiner.

"I hope that in Season 7, we will explore these women in terms of where they've come, what they've gone through, and where they are at in this moment in their lives, and what I mean is their personal life, the choices that they've made, what their jobs have kept them from doing, or what it has given them," Alexander shared.

2. Fans Will See Angie Harmon's Directorial Prowess In 'Rizzoli & Isles' Season 7

Following her directorial debut in the short film, "Stockholm," actress Angie Harmon aka Det. Jane Rizzoli in "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 will reportedly hit another directorial milestone. In fact, Harmon is set to direct the series' 100th episode.

"I have always wanted to direct an episode of 'Rizzoli & Isles,' but the timing has never worked out because of my shooting schedule," Harmon said. "I'm in almost every scene so it was always difficult to prep an episode before and then scout and plan shots for the episode I would direct."

As of late, the storyline details for the 100th episode have not been disclosed. However, the "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 episode she'll be helming is set to start filming this May.

3. Fans Will See A 'Happy Ending' In 'Rizzoli & Isles' Season 7

As TNT airs "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 in June, several reports hinted the possibilities of showing the happy endings in Jane and Maura's personal and professional lives. In fact, there had been claims about the tandem's love lives and promotions at work in "Rizzoli & Isles' season 7 but nothing is concrete as of this moment.

Meanwhile, "Rizzoli & Isles" is set to premiere on Monday, Jun. 6 at 9 p.m. on TNT. So, what do you think will happen in "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7? Sound off below and follow Parent Herald for more news and updates.
