'Pokemon Sun' And 'Pokemon Moon' Starters Were Revealed In The First Full Trailer

IGN reported that the first full trailer of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" came with a big surprise. It revealed that newest starter Pokemon that includes Rowlet, Litten and Poppolio. At the time, fans are already debating which among the three Pokemon starters they will choose when "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" arrive this year.

'Pokemon Sun' And 'Pokemon Moon' Starters Details

According to GottaBeMobile, Game Freak decided to add Grass, Fire and Water creatures in their upcoming titles "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon." Check here to see the new Pokemon starters. Read below to learn the details.

Rowlet

Rowlet is a Grass and Flying creature. He is the modern-day successor of Bulbasaur from the classic games. The new "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" starter is described as the "Gras Quill Pokemon" with a height of one foot and weight of 3.3 pounds.

He looks like a tiny round bird with flat wings, large beak and two leaves as a bowtie. As a starter Pokemon, Rowlet starts with Leafage, an attack that uses leaves. However, "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" players can expect overgrow ability from the said Pokemon.

Litten

Litten is a Fire Cat Pokemon with dark black hair in most of his body with highlights of red. Litten is a Fire type creature weighing 9.5 pounds with the Blaze Ability.

Per Nintendo, this "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" starter is "logical but also passionate." As a starter Pokemon, Litten comes with the Embert attack but later on, he will learn to shoot hairballs with flames.

Popplio

Popplio is a Sea Lion Pokemon, who doesn't keep his emotions. In fact, in the photo Nintendo posted, this "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" starter exhibited a huge grin on his face. Popplio is a water-type Pokemon. He replaces Squirtle.

This new "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" starter weighs 16.5 pounds and stands a foot tall. He comes with Torrent ability but will come with Water Gun when the game begins. Per Nintendo, Popplio has a "determined spirit."
