It is given that Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) will be spending some time behind bars in "Suits" season 6 because the show will not have a time jump. Due to this, there are rumors that Rachel will find a new love.

Ecumenical News reported that there would be a new man in Rachel's life in "Suits" season 6. The new man to play Rachel's love interest is no other than Malcolm Gets.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, in "Suits" season 6, Gets will play the role of Professor Dunbar, an ethics instructor at Columbia Law. He will give Rachel (Meghan Markle) opportunities to grow her legal skills within and outside the classroom.

Although the Rachel and Mike's romance is doomed, his friendship with Harvey (Gabriel Macht) will continue. In fact, "Suits" season 6 will feature how these two men will battle the difficulties in their personal and professional lives.

'Suits' Showrunner Doesn't Want Mike And Rachel To Get Married

Parent Herald previously reported that "Suits" season 6 showrunner and creator Aaron Korsh doesn't want Mike and Rachel to get married. The original plan for "Suits" season 5 finale did not include a Mike-Rachel wedding. However, later on, they consider the wedding to give fans something sweet, following Mike's heartbreaking fate. So, Mike proposed to Rachel.

"I had originally not wanted them to get married," Korsh told TV Guide. "But ... I heard the arguments to have the wedding and then have him go to prison to give something sweet to the fans in addition to something bitter, so we changed it." But then, Korsh and team stick on the first plan and "Suits" fans saw Mike calling off the wedding.
