Why WWE Wrestler Marc Mero's Powerful Message Has Middle Schoolers In Tears [VIDEO]

Former WWE Wrestler Marc Mero was invited to speak before an audience of adolescents. The message he imparted drew such a strong response that the middle school kids could not help but be in tears. So, what did he say that made the kids cry?

Connecting with middle schoolers is tough for many parents and the generation gap is quite evident. Marc Mero highlighted this fact in his speech. He told the kids how he would often ignore his mother and treat her poorly when he was younger. He also told them how he preferred to spend his time staying out late at night to drink with losers.

Yet, his mom would still be waiting for him each night he came home to talk, but he would shut his bedroom door on her. His mother was his biggest fan and loudest cheerleader while he played sports in school, but he would be so embarrassed by this.

One time, on a trip to Japan when he became part of WWE, Marc Mero received that dreaded call: His mother passed away. On her funeral, Marc Mero told the kids he got so nervous that he stayed in the back. He admitted that he realized too late how much she really meant to him.

"How did I repay her? By getting drunk, by getting high, by getting stupid by hanging with losers. All she ever wanted to do was to talk me," he told the kids in the video below. That got them crying so hard as Marc Mero reminded them of what really matters in life. Watch:
