One of the anticipated games to date is "The Last Guardian." The title has been subject to delay for several years already, but according to reports, it will be finally coming out this year.

Japan Studio Explains The Delay Of 'The Last Guardian'

According to VideoGamer, "The Last Guardian" debuts a trailer at E3 2009. Unfortunately, after almost seven years the title is still not available. For those who are waiting for some explanations about the delay, the Japan Studio has finally spoken up.

When asked about the delay, Fumito Ueda, the lead designer of "The Last Guardian" admitted that they encountered several challenges while developing the title. When asked about the delay of "The Last Guardian," given that its development has started in 2007, this is what Ueda said.

"That would require a long answer. But there are always delays in a production schedule," he told BoysLife. "There were some technological challenges we had. There were some challenges that were out of my control. We could go on and on making excuses. But we're really happy that it's being made - and being finished."

'The Last Guardian' Has Gone Through A Lot Of Changes

Initially, "The Last Guardian" was developed for PS3 the development improved but got into trouble after a few years, per VideoGamer. "In 2011, the progress became super slow. There were lots of technical issues. The game was not performing at speed," said Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida.

In 2012, PS4 arrived and the team decided to move "The Last Guardian" to the new platform. The title has gone through a lot of changes and improvements that further its release date.

'The Last Guardian' Will Be Joining E3 2016

Since Ueda confirmed that "The Last Guardian" is done, Examiner suggested that it is safe to assume that we will see the title at E3 2016. Sony, featured "The Last Guardian" at last year's E3 and the interests and enthusiasm of the game were revived.
