Fans waiting for any news about the development of "The Last of Us 2" might find a glimmer of hope that it is underway with Naughty Dog's announcement. The company posted that it was looking for new game designers. But while this is normal in the industry, there are speculations that this will be someone working on "The Last of Us 2."
Naughty Dog's lead designer, Emilia Schatz, posted the job ad on her Twitter, which points to a link to the company's career page. There is hardly anything unusual about the requirements for the job, except that the game designer the company is looking for must be someone who is capable of working on a high concept third-person action console game. The person must also understand how to bring an "emotionally engaging" into the fold.
Based on these, Gaming Bolt suggests that it looks like this job is connected to either "The Last of Us 2." But then again, Naughty Dog might be working on a completely new IP. Perhaps some hints about this might be further revealed at the coming E3 in the Sony booth.
"The Last of Us 2's" development has been highly anticipated by gamers and Naughty Dog's main guy, Neil Druckmann, has said, time and again, that they might be working on this after the release of "Unchartered 4: A Thief's End." It's been nearly a month since the latter game has been out in the market and curious gamer even pointed out that there are "The Last Of Us" Easter eggs in "Unchartered 4," as per Parent Herald. Could Naughty Dog finally be taking the first initial steps to Ellie's return to the console platform?
