'Suits' Season 6 News & Update: TV Series Still The Most Watched Show On The Network; Season 7 & 8 Confirmed?

Many are waiting for the return of the legal-drama TV series, "Suits." According to reports, "Suits" Season 6 will return in July and it is extended until season 8. Are you happy with this report?

'Suits' Extended Until Season 8

Parent Herald previously reported that the fate of the TV series is indefinite. One fan asked "Suits" showrunner Aaron Korsh if "Suits" Season 6 is the last run of the series, to which he replied with, "Highly doubtful it is the last season but nothing official currently."

Meanwhile, Yibada reported that "Suits" season 7 and 8 are already confirmed. Last March, Korsh disclosed that he just renewed a deal for two years and that "Suits" may last until season 8. Although he can't tell how long the TV series will last, he is sure that they are closer to the last season.

"I'm not sure about that. I just renewed [my deal with Universal Cable Productions] for two years, so I'm assuming we're likely to have a Season 7, and it's certainly possible we'll have a Season 8," he told TV Line. "I don't know how close we are to the end, but I know we're very likely closer to the end than we are to the beginning."

Korsh admitted that "Suits" Season 5 finale is the "closes thing to a series finale" that he had in mind. However, now that they are moving into a new season, they will be taking the series one-step at a time.

"I don't know how close we are to the end, but I know we're very likely closer to the end than we are to the beginning... So far, we've done a good job just taking each season as it comes, and that's probably where we'll continue to go," he said.

Rick Hoffman Hopes That "Suits" Will Last Until Season 9

Meanwhile, Rick Hoffman is set to return in "Suits" Season 6 to reprise his role as Louis Litt in the series. He hinted that he initially wanted to keep his character until season 7 but given that "Suits" is still the most watched programme on USA Network he is willing to work until season 9.

"We're still the most watched programme original programme on USA Network in the States - more so than Mr Robot, even though they're getting critical acclaim," he told Digital Spy. "If you'd asked me two years ago, I'd say seven [seasons] was enough. But now I see that the writers are in such a groove... I was telling our boss Aaron [Korsh] the other day - what's wrong with you? Let's do nine!"

The "Suits" Season 6 stars believe that the TV series is a rare experience and it should not be cut short. "So, let's keep the ride going. It's such a rare experience. It's lightning in a bottle, so why cut it off short?"
