iPhone 7 Latest News: Leaks Reveal Touch-Sensitive Home Button, Dual SIM Slots, 3.5mm Headphone Jack -- What To Know

With an intended September release, the iPhone 7 should be heading to mass production by now. Apple has been trying to keep a lid on the details of its flagship smartphone, but iPhone 7 leaked images have been popping on the internet every now and then. The latest breach offers more contradicting reports than previous rumors.

Touch-sensitive home button, dual SIM slots, a headphone Jack -- these iPhone 7 details have been speculated and refuted over and over in various reports. Here's what you should know about the latest from the iPhone grapevine.

iPhone 7 Touch-Sensitive Home Button

MobiPicker confirms that Apple has begun production of the iPhone 7 in time for its fall release date. The site also reports receiving a photo of what the smartphone actually looks like from the production line. Apart from the slight design changes, what's quite noticeable is the presence of the home button, which cannot be pressed down as it is leveled in the bezel. It does away with the metal circular ring and suggests a smoother touch-sensitive button.

iPhone 7 Dual SIM Slots And 3.5mm Headphone Jack

The new iPhone could come with a dual SIM support, which will allow the user to have two different network coverages. If true, then this is a first for the iPhone.  A leaked image of the iPhone 7 with this detail appeared on the Chinese social site, Weibo, and was posted by a user named Rock Fix, per Mac Rumors.

The same user also posted iPhone 7 leaked images that shows it will actually have a 3.5mm headphone jack. This contradicts all the rumors that Apple might be finally doing away with this feature in favor of a Lightning cable assembly. Engadget reports that the iPhone 7 might actually come with both, based on the leaks.

These leaks have either been impressing or turning off consumers from getting the upcoming iPhone. But then again, Apple has not confirmed any of the reports, which means there's still a lot of surprises in store when the iPhone 7 is launched in September.
