'Big Brother' Season 18 News and Updates: Corey Brooks Causing Controversy, Anti-Gay Tweets Revealed

Corey Brooks is one of the new houseguests for the season 18 of "Big Brother" and now something from his past has been uncovered by a Twitter user revealing that he has tweeted anti-gay tweets.

The baseball coach from Dallas, Texas has been on the center of controversy as he used the "f" word used to substitute the word gay in his tweets multiple times, Hollywood Life reported. One of his past tweets reads that he likes the movie "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks and regarded it as the greatest movie of all time and he does not care if others think he is gay.

The tweets were removed but one more tweet talked about a gay person. The tweet reads: "took me a while to figure out who you were but your gay write up about yourself gave it away. Bodybuilding is your life?#yourefat." Another tweet by Brooks was directed to someone he called gay for having chills during a Justin Bieber concert. Brooks has not released any statement about the matter as well as "Big Brother."

The tweets were said to be from way back 2011 and 2012. Although the posts were taken down, a Twitter user named Hamsterwatch managed to take snaps of the tweets showcasing homophobic language from the "Big Brother" Season 18 contestant.

In his CBS profile, Brooks described himself as an extraordinary, lovable, and passionate person. He also said that he loves sports and hanging out with his friends. He added regarding his plans to win "Big Brother" Season 18, "I plan to use my great people skills and stay off the block by making as many alliances as possible, even individually. I don't want to have too much power to where I'm forced to get blood on my hands. I'm also not going to be a floater. I'm going to be a key player in competitions and have one of the strongest social games."

"Big Brother" is a show about 16 strangers living together inside a home with no interaction to the outside world.
