For gamers and fans of "Kingdom Hearts" series, the wait for its third installment has been an uphill battle. Square Enix just left their waiting fans in the dark for a long time concerning the progress of "Kingdom Hearts 3." In fact, the team has just announced the title's release date after years of waiting. Per the reports, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is coming out soon.

'Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8' Almost Done, 'Kingdom Hearts 3' To Follow

"Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tetsuya Nomura sat with KH13 to discuss the progress and details of the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts" titles. In the said interview, Nomura disclosed that they are already in the final production stage for "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue."

There are talks that this title will serve as an introduction to the anticipated game, "Kingdom Hearts 3." With this progress, it is safe to assume that Square Enix will work on "KH3" next and release it soon.

However, the director is asking fans to be patient and to expect more information for "Kingdom Hearts 3" this winter. At the time, Tetsuya Nomura wants fans to concentrate on "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue."

'Kingdom Hearts 3' To Arrive In April 2017

After years of waiting and speculating when "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be out, Square Enix has finally announced its release date. Per Christian Times, the developers announced the title's release date at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016, where they confirmed the rumors that the anticipated title is coming out in April 2017.

Many are relieved that finally, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is arriving. However, fans will still have to wait for almost a year to enjoy it. Meanwhile, Nomura announced that "KH3" is coming out in Japan a little bit earlier than the rest of the world.
