‘Mighty No. 9’ Overthrown By Fan-made ‘Mega Man DOS’

"Mighty No. 9" has disappointed many people. However, there is something on the line that will excite you! A group of fans has now taken things into their own hands - they are developing a complete remake of the "Mega Man DOS" games.

The games that the fans are developing are more in sync with the classic NES-era Mega Man games. These games enjoy huge popularity. It can be said that these games are a better version than the "Mighty No. 9."

The Mega Man games which are released on the PC are not up to the franchise's standards. "Mighty No. 9" has not been an eye-sore but still do not meet the expectations. In fact, it will leave you wondering if they are original or not!

Many fans even did not know that the Mega Man games, including "Mighty No. 9" are even released on PC. However, those who knew it and have experienced it will vouch that there is nothing much that you have missed! The games did not have any music (which is weird!) and it looks like a cheap attempt in the Mega-Man franchise.

Even when these DOS games did not appeal to fans, some of them decided to take the reins in to their hands. From the last two years, both the games are being remade into one project. The titled the new game as "Mega Man DOS."

The game can be downloaded on the Steam Workshop. They are still working on the game and anyone who is playing the game is welcome to report any bugs that they detect.

The levels developed in the game are similar to the Mega Man X series. "Mega Man DOS" has nine robot masters. Each master has a unique stage. The level that you are playing in will depend on which master you have defeated.

Custom stages are also welcome in this version of "Mega Man DOS." There is a level editor in place. It comes with built-in time attack, challenge mode and a custom boss AI planner.

The remake that the fans made seems more like a game which could be a part of the franchise. Most of the graphics are same as the original games. And it has music!

"Mighty No. 9" - move on!
