Xbox One S Release News & Updates: Undisclosed Special Edition Consoles Leak, Designed With Gamers' Favorites 'Gears of War' & 'Halo' [PHOTOS]

When Microsoft unveiled details about the Xbox One S -- its slim console -- at the E3 event in June, the company announced that it was going to come out with special edition versions. What Microsoft didn't specifically say is that these special edition consoles will be featured with a theme.

Now, images of these Xbox One S consoles have leaked online. So far, there are two versions designed with what could be considered gamers' favorite Xbox exclusives.

Xbox One S Featuring 'Gears Of War 4'

Gamespot reports that there is an Xbox One S special edition console featuring a "Gears of War 4" and a "Halo 5: Guardian" theme. The leaked images were posted on Twitter by user @ekim_gaf.

Ekim shared that the "Gears of War" special edition Xbox One S console is featured with a distinct blood splatter design and the Crimson Omen emblem that is inspired from the game. The same theme carries over the game controllers as well.

Fitted with a 2 TB system, the "Gears of War" Xbox One S console also has an ultimate edition. It comes with digital goodies and a season pass. Gamer Rant reports that it will also have a Play Anywhere feature, meaning that the game itself will be accessible via Xbox One or the PC.

Xbox One S Featuring 'Halo 5: Guardians'

On the other hand, the "Halo 5: Guardians" Xbox One S special edition release looks pretty much regular in its familiar Xbox One S white box. This version is reportedly 1 TB only, but pricing, as well as other specifics for this particular release, are still unclear.

Microsoft has refused to confirm if the Xbox One S special edition releases are true. Per The Verge, the company did say that it will be launching a special limited edition version come August. Only it omitted that it will come with a game theme. Meanwhile, "Gears of War 4" is up for release on Oct. 11, while "Halo 5: Guardians" will be out in stores Oct. 27.
