'The Blacklist' Season 4 News & Update: New Season To Feature A Surprising Twist; Red Reddington Is The True Villain In The Series?

At the time the American crime thriller TV series, "The Blacklist" is on hiatus. However, in two months time, the anticipated "The Blacklist" Season 4 will return to the small screens again to bring back the suspense and horror that most fans enjoy in the series. According to reports, Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) is the big bad in "The Blacklist" Season 4.

Red Is The Villain In 'The Blacklist' Season 4

"The Blacklist" Season 3 ended with two bombshells. First, Liz (Megan Boone) was alive. Second, Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) admitted that he is Liz's biological dad.

There are rumors that either Kirk or Reddington will be the big bad in "The Blacklist" Season 4. This might sound new to some but one of the main protagonists of the series could also be its biggest villain.

According to the Bitbag, Reddington will be on the opposite side of the main character, Liz in "The Blacklist" Season 4. Thus, more likely he will be the big bad. The report springs from John Eisendrath's statement that Liz is inclined to believe that Kirk is really her dad.

With Kirk being on Liz side and Reddington on the other side, Red could be the antagonist in "The Blacklist" Season 4. However, although this plot is likely to happen, fans should still take it with a grain of salt as anything could happen in the series.

For instance, the speculation above will change if Alexander Kirk lied to Liz. What if he has the motive to use her against his long-time nemesis Red? This could mean that Kirk could also be the bad guy in "The Blacklist" Season 4.

'The Blacklist' Season 4 Will Reveal Red's True Identity

Jon Bokenkamp disclosed that there's too much material to work on "The Blacklist" series. "Red's self-interest is fueled by his history, and Kirk is part of that history. I think you're going to see we have a lot of story to tell about these two and their relationship," Bokenkamp told Deadline.
