MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, News & Update: Apple Pressured To Release New MacBook; Xiaomi Developing A Better Version Of MacBook Air?

There is no doubt that many are waiting for MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016. Although there are reports that MacBook Air is unlikely to enjoy an upgrade this year, too much is expected from the new MacBook Pro. According to reports, Apple should release the newest MacBook Pro model to boost their sales and the excited customers agree to this because the anticipated laptop is on their list.

Why Should Apple Release MacBook Pro 2016 Soon?

Parent Herald previously reported that the Cupertino-based tech giant is down to number five in the largest PC vendor list with Lenovo on the top and HP and Dell on the second and third spot respectively. Apple is currently behind Asus, which is an indication that the company needs to do something to return to the top spot.

Aside from falling in the fifth spot, BGR reported that Mac sales plunged by 8.3 percent last month. Thus, Apple should release MacBook Pro soon as the new laptop is expected to boost sales.

There are high chances that the new MacBook Pro will increase Apple's sales because many are waiting for it. In fact, per VineReport, Apple consumers include MacBook Pro 2016 on their wish list.

Xiaomi Gearing For Its Better Version Of MacBook Air

There are rumors that MacBook Pro 2016 will axe the MacBook Air lineup. However, Parent Herald previously reported that Apple will not remove Air but will not upgrade it either.

While Apple is keeping MacBook Air in the backseat as they prep for their new flagship MacBook Pro 2016 and build the hype for their recent netbook MacBook, Xiaomi is making their own version of MacBook Air.

Per MSPoweruser, Xiaomi is working on an 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air clone. The upcoming notebook is expected to be virtually portless with a single USB-C socket. It will be equipped with tons of impressive specs, including the Skylake processor.

The Xiaomi MacBook Air version will have 8GB of RAM and will run Windows 10. Unfortunately, it does not include the touch screen feature.

MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to arrive later this year. Meanwhile, MacBook Air 2016 has no update yet but per the reports, a new MacBook Air 2017 is in the works. As for Xiaomi's MacBook Air version, there's no release date yet.
