'NBA 2K17' Release Date & News: Sept. 20 Arrival Delayed? League Expansion Set To 36 Teams Via MyGM/MyLEAGUE Feature

The release of "NBA 2K17" has been marred with news of a potential delay. Originally set to hit store shelves Sept. 20, "NBA 2K17" is said to have an uneven team roster following the move of Kevin Durant from Oklahoma City Thunder to the Golden State Warriors.

This real-life change is expected to be reflected in the game and some tweaks to "NBA 2K17" are reportedly being done to ensure that this is followed. Fans are concerned that the tweaks could delay the release. But should this be a cause for concern?

'NBA 2K17' All Set For Release September

On Twitter, NBA2K's official account confirms and assures gamers that the release is all set for Sept. 20. In fact, it has been announcing what gaming fans can look forward to once the "NBA 2K17" is out and the developers aren't worried at all about the roster changes.

The game is even introducing a new feature called the MyGM/MyLEAGUE League Expansion to "NBA 2K17." Polygon reports that this feature will allow for players to expand to 36 teams within the league. It should be noted that NBA in the real setting currently has 30 teams.

'NBA 2K17' MyGM/MyLEAGUE League Expansion

Forbes reports that the MyGM/MyLEAGUE feature has been somewhat introduced in the last "NBA 2K" release. But this time, this has been leveled up for "NBA 2K17."

For the upcoming game, players are given the regular 30-team choice first, but each of these teams can be fully customized to be realigned to whatever the player wants for the league. They can also download pre-set expansion teams to make their decisions easier. The complete details on how gamers can exhaust the MyGM/MyLEAGUE feature have been carefully outlined in an official NBA 2K Facebook post.

"NBA 2K17" will be available for playing on the PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Produced by 2K Sports and developed by Visual Concepts, this game remains one of the most popular choices for gamers everywhere.
