'NBA 2K16' Cover & Trailer: Top 5 Things to Know About The Game, Music Curated, Cover Details & Game Players

Details for the upcoming video game title NBA 2K16  have been steadily flowing all over the internet. For excited gamers, here's a quick run down of what we know so far regarding the upcoming game. 

Below are the top 5 things that every NBA 2K16 gamer should know:

Body Scanning - In order to make the game as detailed and authentic as possible, developers are body scanning some of the biggest names in the NBA to give audiences as real a gaming experience as possible. A July 3 post on the game's official Facebook page writes, "NBA 2K16 is body scanning NBA players and dancers for the most authentic bodies in franchise history."

Cover - Last month it was revealed that the NBA 2K16 cover will feature Stephen Curry, James Harden, and Anthony Davis, reported Sporting News. The newest title will feature three different cover athletes, MVP Curry, runner-up MVP Harden, and superstar-in-the-making, Anthony Davis. Consumers won't get to choose which cover they'll receive but inside their package are inserts so they can change their cover as desired. 

Michael Jordan - Hall of Famer Michael Jordan will be on the cover of a special edition version of the basketball game, marking a third time the legend will grace a NBA 2K title cover, reports the Inquisitr. The Special Edition with complete in-game items comes with a price tag of $79.99 and will come with the following: Jordan NBA 2K16 Poster, Jordan Fathead Wall Cling, Digital Jordan shoes for your MyPLAYER, Digital Jordan T-shirt for your MyPLAYER, Digital Jordan jersey for your MyPLAYER, 30,000 Virtual Currency, and MyTEAM VIP+ (3 Emerald Packs AND a new Special Edition Exclusive Moments Card). The Special Edition will be released on September 25, four days before the public release on the 29th. 

Music Playlist - It was recently reported by Game Informer that the NBA 2K16 will come with six playlists and popular producers -- namely, DJ Mustard, DJ Khaled, and DJ Premier -- will curate their own in-game playlists. 

Release Date - NBA 2K16 is slated for a September 25 release date for those who pre-ordered the game. Regular release, per Polygon has yet to be determined by following previous launches, it should be out by the first Tuesday of October. 

The game is expected for a number of consoles that include PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, XBox 360, Xbox One as well as Windows PC.
