"Supernatural" Season 12 spoilers reveal that The CW drama will be going back to its roots, reports Entertainment Weekly. Misha Collins refused to divulge any more details about the upcoming season, but based on his statement, fans and viewers began speculating that the show will go back to feature a Monster of the Week.

Many fans have been hoping to see the return of the Monster of the Week on various online sites and forums for "Supernatural" Season 12. However, many are still expectant that the upcoming season will mainly focus on the Men of Letters.

There is also the question as to whether or not Lucifer will return in "Supernatural" Season 12. The return of God and Amara also remain a mystery to fans and viewers, but part of the upcoming season is also focused on the return of Mary Winchester.

In an interview with Collider, series creator Eric Kripke admitted that he always fought through every season of "Supernatural." The creator said that it is very overwhelming to see that the show was able to reach 12 seasons on TV and remains as one of the most-loved shows on the network.

With regards to the possibility that "Supernatural" Season 12 will be its last, Kripke said that anything is possible. However, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles expressed interest in playing the same role for more seasons.
