Hillary Clinton 2016: Mom Advice for Daughter Chelsea - 'Some of it I Take'

It turns out that Chelsea Clinton learns some of the ropes of being a new mother on her own. The former first daughter revealed that she has not always taken parenting advice from mom, Hillary Clinton, as reported in People.

In a Sky News interview, Chelsea candidly shared, "Er, she definitely gives me advice."

She added, "Some of it I take. And some of it I sort of smile and say, 'Thank you' for. I'm sure this is a common thing with new moms with their mothers!"

The 35-year-old mom is just amazed whenever she sees grandma Hillary caring for her new granddaughter. According to Chelsea, her mom takes time to read to Charlotte, hand her a bottle, and of course, sing a song to the adorable baby.

Yahoo Parenting revealed that Chelsea did state her disappointment over realizing that she had similar life goals as those of her parents. On  March 9, Chelsea openly admitted that she tried to push herself away from her parents' identity, but to no avail.

In an interview with Levo League, she said, "I'd worked really hard to find what I cared about, and ultimately through that hard work and introspection, I realized that I cared most about the things my parents, and particularly my mom, cared most about."

However, when the presentation for the "No Ceilings Initiatives" of the Clinton Foundation was over on Monday, Chelsea took time to voice out her appreciation for the blessings her parents gave her as a child.

Chelsea felt privileged to have been able to explore Arkansas and many places around the world. Going to different places made the first daughter realize the mission behind her parents' professional endeavors. At the same time, Chelsea was glad that visits to Disney World as a kid were available to her as well. The new mom is hopeful that Charlotte will also enjoy these privileges like she did.

When asked about next year's presidential race, the new mom said she still has to find out if the former first lady would give the U.S. presidential run another try.  Chelsea said in an interview with E! Online in January, "It's really sweet how my mom is just so clearly happy being a grandma and I know she's going to be a great grandma, whatever other choices she makes in her life."

If mom Hillary does run for presidency again next year, Chelsea will likely help her in the campaign. However, the former first daughter vowed that being there for Charlotte as a mother would always be her number one priority in life.
