One Direction Is Over? Liam Payne Capitol Records Deal Influenced by 'X Factor' Judge Girlfriend Cheryl Cole?

One Direction is no more, if one views Liam Payne going solo the end for 1D. Fans might ask, did "The X Factor" judge and current girlfriend Cheryl Cole influence Liam Payne moving away from One Direction?

Since One Direction members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson took a break from 1D duties in early 2016 quite a few changes have happened. Like Liam Payne, Harry Styles ventured into music outside of One Direction even while the 1D member also bagged a role in "Dunkirk."

One Direction member Louis Tomlinson may not have signed any new record deal as Harry Styles and Liam Payne, but has been keeping busy with charity events and son Freddie Reign. As Parent Herald reports Louis Tomlinson was an actor before being a One Direction member and, like Harry Styles, the 1D singer will soon be seen in a new film.

While Liam Payne is hopeful about this new deal outside of One Direction, 1D fans now wonder if the band will ever come together again. Another One Direction question is if girlfriend Cheryl Cole, who first met Liam Payne as "The X Factor" judge before the 1D singer hit stardom, had any role in the decision.

The Guardian highlights that Liam Payne is one of the main songwriters for One Direction. A full on departure by Liam Payne from One Direction ends 1D as fans know it.

However, the media outlet reports that Liam Payne made no final announcement about leaving One Direction forever. At best Liam Payne posted on social media ambiguous messages about his future with One Direction.

CNN cites this message by Liam Payne for One Direction fans after signing his deal with Capitol Records. "One direction will always be my home and family," Liam Payne said.

Do you think One Direction is over? Which One Direction member do you think will succeed as a solo artist: Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan or Louis Tomlinson?
