Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder Reunion Confirmed: ‘TVD’ Actress Doesn’t Care About Nikki Reed?

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are being poised to reunite in "The Vampire Diaries," as Season 8 is confirmed to be its last on The CW. While several reports suggest that Dobrev may not reprise her role as Elena Gilbert because of Nikki Reed, an earlier statement from the actress reveal that she has no ill feelings for Somerhalder and Reed.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev reunion in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 seems to be confirmed despite various reports claiming that Dobrev may not keep her promise with series creator Julie Plec. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the 27-year-old actress may break her promise with Plec because she is busy with her movie career.

Dobrev just finished filming "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" and she already has a long list of projects to do right after that. There are also rumors that Dobrev is not keen on keeping her promise with Plec because of the presence of Ian Somerhalder's wife, Nikki Reed, on the set of "TVD" Season 8.

There have been reports that Dobrev left "The Vampire Diaries" after Season 6 because she was uncomfortable seeing Somerhalder and Reed together on set. Reed was recently spotted flying to Atlanta with Somerhalder to accompany him during production for the final season.

While seeing one's ex with his or her new partner might be uncomfortable, many fans believed that Dobrev was a professional actress. Dobrev continued to star in "The Vampire Diaries" and filmed intimate scenes with Somerhalder even though the couple has already called it quits.

An earlier interview with E! News revealed that Dobrev does not have any ill feelings towards Somerhalder. Dobrev shared that she is happy for him and that she will always treasure the love she has for him as a friend.
