'Vikings' Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Ragnar Lothbrok, Lagertha Lovers Again? Son Of Athelstan, Kattegat Leader To Cross Paths?

"Vikings Season 4" midseason premiere is not without romance with "Warcraft" actor Travis Fimmel as Ragnar Lothbrok and Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha reuniting. Ragnar Lothbrok may have more reuniting to do in "Vikings Season 4" as his reckoning with King Ecbert (Linus Roache) may also cross his paths with Alfred, the son of Athelstan the monk (George Blagden).

"Vikings Season 2" saw the breakup between Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha after Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) came into the scene. Despite the devastation to her marriage, Lagertha eventually returned to Kattegat and offered her support and alliance with Ragnar Lothbrok and Aslaug through the tribulations of the "Vikings" series.

The "Vikings Season 4" midseason finale reportedly changed Lagertha, who will finally confront Aslaug for getting between her and Ragnar Lothbrok. Parent Herald reports that Ragnar Lothbrok will just be a part of the conflict between Lagertha and Aslaug when "Vikings Season 4" returns for midseason.

  According to Variety, "Vikings" creator and writer Michael Hirst teased a reunion between Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha. Certainly, a reunion between Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha as lovers in "Vikings Season 4" is one History fans may have suspected all along.

Michael Hirst revealed that he is a fan himself of the Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha team up in "Vikings." "Nothing would make me happier," Michael Hirst said of a "Vikings" series development where Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha become lovers again.

The Bitbag proposes that the "Vikings" series could take Ragnar Lothbrok and the son of Athelstan, Alfred (the Great), into each other's paths. Parent Herald cites reports that King Ecbert is still due for a payback from Ragnar Lothbrok after his betrayal of him and Lagertha earlier in the "Vikings" series.

When Ragnar Lothbrok does return to England, the Kattegat leader will not only likely see King Ecbert but also meet two young men in "Vikings Season 4." One is Magnus, whom Ragnar Lothbrok fathered with Kwnethrith (Amy Bailey), and the other is Alfred, whom Athelstan fathered in "Vikings Season 3."
