Greg Monroe To Sign With New Orleans Pelicans

Greg Monroe is a great NBA player, no wonder many teams want him under them in the next NBA season. Parent Herald previously reported that New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs are competing to win him. The former is desperate to have Monroe to replace Tim Duncan.

Aside from New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, the New Orleans Pelican join the race in winning Greg Monroe. According to Brew Hoop, Milwaukee Bucks are still waiting to find a taker for Greg Monroe and chances are high that he will sign with the New Orleans Pelican. "Monroe's a New Orleans native," Marc Stein said. "I think that's where he wants to end up," he added.

Tyreke Evans React To Trade Off With Greg Monroe

On a side note, Pelicans' shooting guard and small forward, Tyreke Evans is doing all his best to return next NBA season. Per the Bid Writers, the professional basketball player is still recovering from a right knee injury for a year already.

There are rumors that the Pelicans are trading Evans for Greg Monroe and it seemed that Evans does not like it. "Multiple teams were engaged in conversations during this free agency period with the Pelicans about Tyreke Evans. I can't tell you the teams. As I've said on this podcast before, I can tell you one is Milwaukee, and that centers on a trade that would include Greg Monroe going to New Orleans," Brett Dawson said on a podcast confirming the Tyreke Evans - Greg Monroe trade off.

Meanwhile, Zach Low of ESPN has something else to say suggesting that Milwaukee Bucks might not just give up Greg Monroe in the next NBA season. "Meanwhile, the Bucks cannot give Greg Monroe away. Again, what is essentially an expiring deal. I think they got closer than maybe has been reported with New Orleans," he said.
