Fans were thrilled as they saw Lucas on the season finale of "Girl Meets World." It was then revealed that the series ended with Lucas and Riley falling in-love, which is one of the sweetest scenes since season 1. Seventeen gave fans a quick review as to what happened in the season finale.

Most "Girl Meets World" fans rooted for Riley to end up with Lucas, but there are those that wanted Maya and Lucas together. They were then left at the edge of their seats when Lucas choose Riley over her best friend, which got fans into wondering on who Maya could possibly end up with.

As the "Girl Meets World" season is about to end, it was eventually revealed that Maya realized that she never wanted Lucas after all. This being said, she eventually realized that she wanted Josh. And in turn, Josh admitted that she wanted Maya too, except for the fact that he's older than her.

Due to their age difference, Josh decided that she and Maya would take time in assessing their feelings. They then decided to take part of the "play the long game" to gauge how they really feel.

As the season 3 for "Girl Meets World" ends, fans are eager to know if season 4 will take place. During an interview with TV Line, it was revealed that the finale would air by 2017. Fans will have to wait a few more months before seeing the "Girl Meets World" characters return into the screen. It was then revealed that there are not updates yet in regards to the speculations that "Girl Meets World" would end by the 4^th season.

"We are wrapping production next week on the third season," a rep told TV Line. "With episodes airing on Disney Channel into 2017, there's no news to share yet about a fourth season."
