This article contains spoilers. Read on if you want to learn more about the details of this story.

"Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 spoilers reveal that the theme for the next season is legacy. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Peter Lenkov revealed that McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and the rest of the team will be taking some time to reflect on themselves and their job next season.

As most fans can recall, in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 6 finale, McGarrett went through a near-death situation, which also cost him the life of one of his teammates, Gabriel (Christopher Sean). Kono (Grace Park) also went through a dire situation, which has, once again, sparked rumors that Kono will be leaving the team next season.

"Kono's gone through some amazing trauma and her husband was taken away from her. A lot of it stems from her job," he said.

While it remains to be seen how this introspection will affect McGarrett, Chin, Kono and the rest of the team in "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7, the showrunner recently addressed rumors that the series was coming to an end. According to Cinema Blend, rumors about the series finale began after Jimmy Buffett referred to the upcoming season as its last.

Lenkov was quick to respond to Buffett's statement on "Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 through his own Twitter account. However, his statement does not give any form of assurance that the show will, indeed, live on for more years after Season 7.

"Hawaii Five-0" Season 7 premieres this fall on CBS.
