NBA Trade Rumors: Boston Celtics Unlikely To Sign JR Smith Because He Doesn't Fit Brad Steven's Demands? Tyler Zeller's Return Dim

NBA trade rumors are pointing to J.R. Smith as one of hottest item in the free agency. There are rumors that Boston Celtics is close to signing the Cleveland Cavaliers' shooting guard but other sources claim that Smith doesn't meet Brad Stevens demands.

Parent Herald previously reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers' shooting guard and small forward J.R. Smith and LeBron James top the free agency rankings. Although James has not signed with the Cavaliers yet, he already said that he is staying with the team, where he delivered an NBA title last season.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on J.R. Smith, what jersey will he be wearing in the next NBA season? Chris Forsberg of ESPN suggests that Boston Celtics might get Smith. The team is struggling with their shooting performance and Cav's shooting guard will be a good addition to their roster.

However, Forsbeg also claims that it is unlikely for Brad Stevens to sign J.R. Smith despite his impressive record. Celtic's head coach has already said that their top priority is shooting and although Smith is skilled to fill this position they might not take a chance with him.

Smith is skilled but has the tendency to exaggerate his defense to the point of boxing out and knocking down other players. Per the report, due to this behavior, Smith fails to meet Stevens' demands or basketball mantra.

J.R. Smith was engaged into a chippy game with Celtic's small forward Jae Crowder before. Seeing the two NBA professional basketball players in the same team is something than fans are looking forward to seeing, in case, Celtics signs Smith. Will things work out good for the pair?

Meanwhile, Tyler Zeller's return until 2018 is still unconfirmed. At the time, Zeller is a restricted free agent and per Hoops Hype, Celtics renounced his rights to give J.R. Smith a one-year deal.
