‘Supernatural’ Season 12 Spoilers & Updates: Sam Possessed? Castiel ‘More Powerful’ Next Season

"Supernatural" Season 12 spoilers reveal that Castiel will become even more powerful in the upcoming season. In an interview with Blastr, Misha Collins hinted that after his character went through a difficult phase in Season 11, he will get the chance to recover and get stronger in Season 12.

Collins teased that in "Supernatural" Season 12, Castiel will no longer be "broken;" instead, he will be working towards fixing all the things he did in the past. The teaser for the upcoming season was also released during the SDCC and in one of the clips, Sam's eyes appeared to be pitch black, which led to speculations that Sam will be possessed in the new season.

Meanwhile, Jared Padalecki told Buddy TV during the 2016 San Diego Comic Con that in "Supernatural" Season 12, Sam will be tortured. Padalecki admitted that he was not surprised when he read that his character will be subjected to some sort of torture by the Men of Letters.

"Sam and Dean aren't used to being told what to do or how to do it or answering to any sort of hierarchy," said Padalecki.

It is believed that in "Supernatural" Season 12, the Men of Letters would be the next big bad. However, there have also been speculations that The CW drama will return to its monster-of-the-week theme next season.

Padalecki also noted on the small possibility that Sam and God would get the chance to talk to each other in "Supernatural" Season 12. According to the actor, with all the creatures and villains that Sam and Dean have to face next season, this conversation will have to be set aside for the moment.
