'The Winds of Winter' Spoilers: Book Has Lesser Deaths Than 'Game of Thrones' S6? George R.R. Martin Will Release 'TWOW' in 2017?

"The Winds of Winter" will reportedly not be released anytime soon but is expected to be out by 2017. Fans of the series of "A Song of Ice and Fire" have been waiting for the release of the sixth book and sources are claiming that there will be lesser deaths in "The Winds of Winter" as compared to the devastating "Game of Thrones" Season 6.

Reports have surfaced in the past claiming that the reason as to why "The Winds of Winter" is taking so much time to be released and the release date keeps getting pushed back is because author George R.R. Martin wants to release it together with the seventh book, "A Dream of Spring." However, there have been no confirmations about this leading to more speculation as to when "The Winds of Winter" will really be out.

Many fans chose not to watch "Game of Thrones" Season 6 but it is known that there have been many deaths in the last season of the hit HBO series. However, it was reported by iTechPost that "The Winds of Winter" is much more different than its TV adaptation. In the season 6 of "Game of Thrones" many major characters were killed but it is reportedly not going to happen for "The Winds of Winter."

Accordingly, the major deaths in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 was due to the fact that the HBO series was concerned with their budget so they had to size down the case. Since the book is not really paying any of the characters, it is possible that many of those killed will be alive in "The Winds of Winter."

Martin said that some of the characters alive in his next book who were killed in the TV show are Grenn, Hizdahr zo Loraq, Irri, Jhiqui, Mago, Myrcella, Pyp, Shireen, Ser Barristan, and Stannis. These are only some of the characters confirmed by Martin to be alive in his book "The Winds of Winter" and pointed out that there might be just three major deaths in the book. He did not, however, spill the beans as to which characters will be involved in the deaths.

Martin also recently gave an updated about "The Winds of Winter" saying that he is still working on it so it is not possible to be out by the end of this year.
