Dana Walden and M Night Shyamalan have had their first email exchange specifically for "Wayward Pines" Season 3. Dana Walden also revealed that M Night Shyamalan and Blake Crouch have already pitched their ideas for "Wayward Pines" Season 3.

  Dana Walden promisingly gave a favorable feedback on the "Wayward Pines" Season 3 ideas she was given. TVLine reports that Fox and Dana Walden are waiting for the multi-platform stats to roll in for Wayward Season 2.

This will determine the go-signal for "Wayward Pines" Season 3. The media outlet cites the dip in ratings that dogged "Wayward Pines" Season 2.

Unlike "Wayward Pines" Season 1, which had a solid structure of material from the original novel trilogy, S2 reportedly only found its leg at Episode 3 Once Upon A Time In "Wayward Pines".

Still, Fox and Dana Walden are optimistic that "Wayward Pines" Season 2 stats will reflect a decent bulk of viewership. Philly quotes Dana Walden on the growing value of "long tail" stats of viewership for networks as Fox.
