Xbox Latest News, Specs & Features: Microsoft Xbox Project Scorpio Claims To Be The Best Console Ever

Microsoft is about to launch their next gaming console initially called Xbox Project Scorpio. It was first presented at E3 last July, and Microsoft didn't talk much about the Project Scorpio aside the planned release which will be on 2017.

A guy asked on Twitter if Microsoft is working on Project Scorpio, the Xbox Division Head Phil Spencer answered that the "Xbox Project Scorpio" is on development together with the new games. Currently, Microsoft is working on some tweakings to make the Xbox Project Scorpio the best gaming console of the next few years.

The new Xbox Project Scorpio will feature a major overall upgrade on processing and graphic rendering. It boasts a massive Eight Core processor and a powerful 6TF (Teraflops) Graphic Processing Unit for a maximum 4K resolution. The Xbox Project Scorpio also features 12GB DDR5 Memory with a bandwidth more than 320GB per second.

Eurogamer confirms that the Xbox Project Scorpio will have backward compatibility. Games from Xbox One can be played on Xbox Project Scorpio along with the Xbox Kinect and XB One controllers.

At first, Phil Spencer said that in order to enjoy the Xbox Xbox Project Scorpio, it needs to have a TV capable of 4K, instead developers are trying to make a rendering upgrade using the 1080p so that 4K TV won't be necessary.

Running a 4K resolution is one of Microsoft's target for XB One, but it will be more likely to be adapted to the upcoming Xbox Project Scorpio. VR games are also a feature for the Xbox Project Scorpio.

In a report released by Yahoo!, it says that Microsoft is reaching out to Oculus and is proposing a partnership to make an Oculus Rift support both the XB One and Xbox Project Scorpio.

Games for Xbox Xbox Project Scorpio are also in development as Xbox Marketing head Aaron Greenberg said, there won't be any games or any equipment that will be exclusive for Xbox Project Scorpio as per VG247 reported.
