Parenting Alert: Pokemon Go Can Take Your Kid At Risk

Safety concern is one of the issues being driven at with Pokemon Go these days. In worst case scenarios, it can lead to death. 

The "Pokemon Go" craze continuously sweeps the U.S. as it is paired with GPS and smartphone camera technology so that players are being sent to real-world sites in pursuit of animated monsters on their screens. Sounds like virtual reality in a cooler sense. But is it really cool?

The game app actually lets your child explore different location in the real world while playing with their heads down and fingers completely tagging on and off the phone screen. There is risk when the child goes to a strange places and meet strangers. Some Pokemon Go gamers have been reportedly injured in different cases because of the addiction to this online game craze.

Parents should understand the risk of Pokemon Go before it is too late. Kids should be disciplined concerning the playing of this game, especially those who are under 13. Aside from being in strange locations and company , the young Pokemon Go players might get addicted with it completely in a sense that they cannot help it but buy some in-app products, which may force them to use up their savings or even steal from your credit card.

There is also a great threat for the privacy of your child when playing Pokemon Go. Identity theft is possible but on top of that, criminals can also use the same game and locate your child and plot against him or her.

In Mexico, the top persecutor Attorney General Hector Balderas, warns parents about the risky things that the Pokemon Go can do. Some parents however like the effect of Pokemon Go as it helps some introvert kids develop a more sociable life because they are able to meet and play with other players in person.

There should be balance in the policies in your home about playing Pokemon Go. Weigh down the options and rules for it then you and your kids will be fine. There should be no room for addiction and you have to make it clear that if that is possible, limitations in terms oftime devoted on the game and safety measures should be their first concern in playing Pokemon Go.
