Nintendo NX Release Date & Latest News: Bethesda Considering NX Game Development, 'Fallout 4' & 'Elder Scrolls 6' For Nintendo?

The Nintendo NX might just get more boost with its upcoming game choices after a Bethesda executive declared it could be bringing some of its games to the console. The company's vice president, Pete Hines, stated that it's in talks with Nintendo. Could its popular games like "Fallout 4" and "Elder Scrolls 6" be made available via the Nintendo NX too?

Hines discussed the Nintendo NX in an interview with IGN. The Bethesda executive said that the company is aware of what Nintendo is doing with the NX, as both entities communicate "all the time." While nothing is definite just yet, Hines stated that the possibility is there. "It's absolutely something that we're looking into and we'll see what comes of it," he told IGN.

Hines also clarified that much of the decision will have to involve what type of console the Nintendo NX eventually becomes. It's been widely reported that Nintendo is in the middle of developing and producing its latest console, which is set for release in March 2017, according to The Verge. Nintendo has yet to reveal its actual specs, but there has been a lot of speculations about its capabilities as a hybrid console.

Hines said that if Nintendo NX's technical features can accommodate any games that Bethesda's developers are creating, then it's feasible to also "put it out on NX." Digital Spy points out that it's unlike Nintendo to approach big time third-party developers for game development, as it has not done this for its previous consoles, such as the Wii U. But gamers are definitely looking forward to what these "talks" will deliver, and hopefully it would be for the improvement of the gaming industry.

Meanwhile, Gamespot reports that aside from Nintendo NX's flagship game, "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," the company also plans to release "Pokemon" and "Mario" games. Word is that these will be out in the six months after the new console arrives in the market. Stay tuned for more on the latest on Nintendo NX.
