A new animated film for kids and kids at heart to enjoy is "Kubo and the Two Strings" and two of the major characters are voiced by actors Matthew McConaughey and Charlize Theron. They recently talked about what they do in real life regarding parenting since in the movie, their roles are the guides of the lead character.

"Kubo and the Two Strings" is the latest stop-motion film by the animation studio Laika, best known for their works such as "Coraline" and "The Boxtrolls." In the flick, the boy ignites a vendetta after he accidentally summons a spirit from his past, Fox 31 reported. Theron and McConaughey play the roles of the guides of the boy named Monkey and Beetle, respectively.

The two Oscar award-winning actors shared that they both teach their children how to be compassionate and responsible. McConaughey further shared, that for him and his children, he talks to his kids about their moral choices, The Washington Times reported. He shared, "We like the word residuals in our house. Which choices are going to pay you back later or are going to give you more green lights later on of being the young man or young woman that you want to be?"

McConaughey is a father to three children and he revealed that he is still balancing being a parent and a friend to his three children. He pointed out that he has seen many instances when parents were actually just friends to their children. For him, he wants the role of a parent and a friend to intersect.

As for Theron, she has two children and she said that she is willing to transform into whatever that her daughter and her son need. She shared that her parenting skills involve having to become something or someone so that she could get through her children. She continued, "I think it's just limitless when you're a parent. There's nothing that you wouldn't do."

In another interview, Theron revealed that despite her success in many films, her kids never think she is cool. She revealed that in her role in the movie "The Huntsman: Winter's War," her kids loved Emily Blunt because she is a princess while Theron's villainous role did not impress them at all.
