‘Young and Restless’ Cast & Spoilers: Jerry Douglas Returns; New Character To Cause Trouble In Genoa City?

Latest news on the comings and goings for "The Young and the Restless" reveals that Jerry Douglas is making another comeback. The Abbott patriarch is visiting Genoa City. Meanwhile, Angell Cowell is also set to appear, as well as David Faustino, who is set to bring trouble.

Jerry Douglas is set to reprise his role as Jerry Douglas on Sept. 26, according a report from CBS Soaps In Depth. "The Young and the Restless" spoilers tease that John Abbott's ghost will appear to his son Jack. Since the character died in 2006, his ghost has been making a short appearance, mostly when his children need his wisdom. Most recently, Jack and Ashley were thinking about their father. They wish he would visit them now that they need his advice. As it seems, they would need to hold on and wait a little bit longer then.

Jerry Douglas, 83, started to play as the Abbott patriarch in 1982. He was last seen on "The Young and the Restless" on March 24, in one of his frequent visits since 2006, which are often as Jack's conscience.

Meanwhile, Soaps.com reveals that Angell Cowell is set to appear on Monday, Aug. 22, as Leslie Michaelson. Victor Newman has been working on setting his son, Adam Newman, free. Spoilers tease that Victor will be in need of a lawyer and so he would turn to Leslie to further his chances of getting the best results. The murder charges against Adam will be lifted; however, he is faced with an assault charge.

In a related casting news, "The Young and the Restless" is bringing a new character who is set to stir some trouble. "Married With Children" star David Faustino takes on the role Howard Green. According to Hollywood Hills, Green is the one behind Genoa City's GC Buzz, the local tabloid. That doesn't sound so good for the powerful residents. His first appearance would be on Sept. 27.

"The Young and the Restless" airs daily at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
