Donald Trump: African Americans Are Mostly Uneducated and Poor, Why Did He Say That?

Donald Trump points the reality that majority of African-Americans have nothing to lose because they have no education, jobs, and anything. Some Americans took it as an insult.

"You're living in poverty. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs. 58% of your youth in unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?" Trump said.

While a large number of voters took Trump's comment as very offensive, some citizens and politicians like Kellyanne Conway responded to criticism saying that it was actually an appeal coming from Trump and the such truth is hard to take but it is real. Conway said that she was moved by that comment actually. It was not meant for insult but to open minds that refuse to believe that African Americans need more attention and love.

Known as a racist, Trump is usually easy to be judged with his words in criticizing people according to their skin color. Hence his recent comment about the African Americans was immediately ridiculed. On the other side of his comment is the fact that the unemployment rate and lack of insurance rate for African Americans indeed fell hard to the bottom in the past five years. CDC for example suggested that only 13.5 percent under 65 years exist without health insurance coverage.

The appeal made by Trump to the African Americans is said to be taking part of a much anticipated general election "pivot," that is said to also include a weakening of his positions on immigration. The comment can be degrading at one side but for some it is an eye opener that indeed, the current situation of African Americans need more attention. Nonetheless, the issue should be understood well and the suggestion of Trump should be based on reliable research as well.

A research says that 72 percent of blacks lack employment  and 92 percent have jobs. Some people say that Trump should stop stereotyping and his racist comments should be stopped.
