Gaming News: ‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Updates; ‘Halo 5: Forge’ and ‘Anvil’s Legacy’

Halo fans around the world have yet another release to be excited about. In fact, it's not just one, but two major expansions will be made available for "Halo 5: Guardians" will be available for download on the same day, as "Halo 5: Forge" and "Halo 5: Anvil's Legacy" will be released this September.

Ever since Mast Chief's return in "Halo 5: Guardians" in October 2015, it was been met with great success in the market, as well as with critics, pulling in $400 million in its opening week and scoring 84% on Metacritic, making it one of the most successful games in the "Halo" franchise. Over a year later, the much awaited expansion pack is almost ready for players everywhere. Here is what we know about "Halo 5: Forge" and "Halo 5: Anvil's Legacy."

According to the Xbox website, "Halo 5: Forge," which will be coming to the Windows 10 for PC, will allow players to create their own maps from scratch, giving them almost unlimited freedom to build and design areas for battles with other players. This will let gamers create custom matches for up to 16 participants, and with the Windows 10 support for keyboard and mouse use, players can accurately manipulate objects within the map. The expansion allows for higher 4K resolution display for "Halo 5: Guardians"

While "Anvil's Legacy," according to a report from Dual Shockers, will allow players to browse content from "Forge," with support from custom game maps. Paired with "Forge," "Anvil's Legacy" will allow gamers to use maps created by others in the "Forge" community, regardless of what console they use.

More features from the "Anvil's Legacy" expansion include two new maps for "Halo 5: Guardians," the "Mercy," which is for competitive arena players, and the "Temple," for the Warzone Assault mode.The new expansion also provides new weapons for players and plenty of customizable skins.

Both the "Halo 5: Forge" and the "Anvil's Legacy" will simultaneously be released on September 8, 2016.
