NBA Trade Rumors: J.R. Smith Leaving Cavs For Good Heading to Minnesota, Chris Bosh Not Returning To Heat Joining Raptors?

J.R. Smith is a key player in Cleveland Cavaliers. He has contributed to the success of the team in winning its first NBA title. However, reports have it that J.R. Smith will be joining another team this season. Meanwhile, after a short hiatus, Chris Bosh returns to NBA and is to play for another team.

J.R. Smith and Chris Bosh are among the hottest names in the NBA trade rumor mills today. Both have performed well and have proven their worth in their respective teams but it turns out that things are not quite well between them and their previous teams.

J.R. Smith is one of the top players in the free agency market. However, after a couple of months, the former Cavs shooting guard is still a free agent. Reports have it that Smith asked for a $15 million deal from Cavs but the team could only offer $10 million.

According to reports, the deal J.R. Smith asking for would be more expensive than it would as Cleveland Cavaliers has already gone beyond the luxury tax. Some suggest that it is not practical for Cavs to spend too much especially that their chances of winning against Golden State Warriors are slim after Kevin Durant join the super team. Thus, they should sign Josh Smith instead.

Reports are rife that J.R. Smith and Cavs are parting ways this NBA season. Smith is reportedly joining the pack of Minnesota Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Chris Bosh is another controversial subject this offseason. Bosh used to play alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade when all three were still with Miami Heat. Chris Bosh is the only one left in the team but Heat is expressing its interest in trading Bosh.

Per Real GM, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors are in trade talks involving Chris Bosh, Jared Sullinger, Patrick Patterson and Terrence Ross. Is it practical for Heat to trade one of the best players on its roster?

What do you think are there still chances for J.R. Smith to return to Cleveland Cavaliers? What about Chris Bosh staying with Miami Heat? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
