'The Big Bang Theory' Latest News And Updates: Showrunner Talks Wedding, Future Of Show Despite Unconfirmed Seasons Following 10th Installment

It has been an ongoing buzz whether or not "The Big Bang Theory" will be ending in Season 10. Despite the uncertainty whether there will be more installments after the upcoming new season, the showrunner of the CBS hit series talked about the future of the characters and teased a possible wedding or weddings.

Steve Molaro was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter and he talked about his approach to the show although there are still uncertainties with the cast and the series in general. Reports said that none of the series regulars, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch have signed contracts beyond "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.

The stars, however, have started filming the first three episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Molaro was asked about the contract issue and "The Big Bang Theory" not having a confirmed Season 11 yet and he only said that they have to focus on the upcoming installment now. When asked about the possibility that one of the main characters will no longer want to do "The Big Bang Theory" how would it impact the show, Molaro was honest to say that he has no idea but it would definitely feel weird and different, Cinema Blend reported.

"The Big Bang Theory" showrunner also did not put a number as to how many seasons would he want the show to be extended.

As for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, there will be no time jump. The show will pick up from when Leonard's father and Sheldon's mother went back to the hotel together. Leonard's mother believe that her former husband is doing this on purpose that is why she would insist on leaving. It is unclear how this will affect the wedding of Leonard and Penny but they would try and convince her to stay. Also, the mother of Penny and her brother, who just got out of jail, will be seen in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.

Molaro also teased that there will be a ceremony taking place. It is unclear if he is saying that Sheldon and Amy are getting married but he said, "It may not be as conventional as planned, but a ceremony will take place." He also said that they are not yet ready to introduce Howard's father in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 is coming back to the small screen on September 19.
