'The Winds of Winter' Release Date & Major Spoilers: Book NOT Available; ISBN And Date Fake; GRRM Busy With Wildcards?

Fans of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series have been waiting for "The Winds of Winter" for five years and counting. Earlier this week, some sources claim that a placeholder for "The Winds of Winter" is available in Amazon France, making fans hope that the book is coming out soon. Unfortunately, according to other sources, all of those reports are not true.

Parent Herald previously reported that a placeholder for "The Winds of Winter" is spotted in Amazon France. The page listed the date as March 9, 2017. Fans who are dying to get a copy of the book are overwhelmed with the reports.

Aside from the Amazon post, BryndenBFish shared a post that catapulted every "ASOIAF" fans to bliss. An International Standard Book Number for "The Winds of Winter" is allegedly registered. These instances lead fans to speculate that "The Winds of Winter" is coming out sooner.

Unfortunately, the previous reports are another false alarm. "The Winds of Winter's" release date remains a mystery and the anticipated book is not coming out this summer. According to A.V. Club, Random House the publisher of George RR Martin's book has issued a statement regarding the matter.

The publisher explained that George RR Martin is still working hard to get "The Winds of Winter" done. Random House also stressed that any date posted on any site is not correct. Thus, fans should not believe on it easily.

To appease the disappointed fans, the publisher promised to announce the publication date for "The Winds of Winter" once they have it. However, at the time nothing is certain than the idea that George RR Martin is still writing "The Winds of Winter."

Meanwhile, George RR Martin answered one fan that with a "Wild Cards" TV series on the way he is not closing the series yet. Thus, the popular scribe will still be likely busy with "Wild Cards" as fans wait for "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring."
