'The Fall' Season 3 Air Date, Trailer & News: Jamie Dornan Reveals Thriller Returns End Of September?

A new trailer for "The Fall" Season 3 has been released and it sheds more light on what really happened to the serial killer Paul Spector. Jamie Dornan, who plays Spector, also confirmed that the series' last five episodes will kick off in September on BBC 2. It will be the final season for the crime thriller, which also stars Gillian Anderson as Det. Stella Gibson.

Dark Horizons reports that a new teaser for "The Fall" Season 3, which is supposed to run in Ireland, has been making the rounds on the internet. This teaser features more details to Paul Spector, who is shown to be near-death after acquiring multiple gunshot wounds in last season's finale.

Also seen in the teaser is a concerned Stella Gibson, who is hovering over Spector as paramedics attempt to keep him conscious. Parent Herald previously reported that the first episode of "The Fall" Season 3 will follow the events of the Season 2 finale immediately.

Jamie Dornan let out the detail that "The Fall" Season 3 will begin airing by the end of September. Dornan was a guest on BBC's "The One Show" when he revealed the show's premiere date. However, BBC has yet to confirm when "The Fall" Season 3 actually runs.

The actor also revealed that "The Fall" Season 3 will deliver more unexpected scenarios. "I didn't even really see coming what the producer had planned for it," said Dornan on the chat show.

Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson have been seen in the press recently to do promo work for "The Fall." The co-stars attended a London panel for BBC, where they answered questions from the audience. The attendees also got to watch "The Fall" Season 3's very first episode.

"The Fall" is a cat and mouse saga between a notorious serial killer and a sharp investigator. Debuting in 2014, BBC has confirmed in a statement that this upcoming season will be the last.
