'Supergirl' Season 2 Spoilers & Cast News: Say Goodbye To Winn! CatCo IT Expert Fired - Where's He Heading Next?

Brace yourselves, "Supergirl" viewers as another change is underway. Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan), CatCo media's IT expert, will supposedly be fired from his job. But viewers shouldn't be worried as he's not really going anywhere. The character is reportedly going to continue helping Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) with his new job at the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO).

"Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg divulged that Winn will lose his job at CatCo in the upcoming season. But Kreisberg noted, via TV Line, that exciting things are in store for Winn when he assumes a new post at the DEO. So, this change is actually a win for Winn!

It also shouldn't be a big adjustment for Winn -- or Kara/Supergirl for that matter -- because the IT guy has met DEO's Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) before. The agency has also been aware he's helping out Supergirl. Cinema Blend cites that, if anything, Winn would be an asset as a DEO employee. He's also one of the few trusted friends of Kara who has kept her biggest secret well.

Actor Jeremy Jordan has actually stated in previous interviews about the change in his character's path. He said that his character has grown more confident in "Supergirl" Season 2 and the move to DEO will allow Winn chance to develop his potential. "I think that's going to really give him the big boost. And, you know maybe confidence is sexy!" he said per Showbiz Junkie.

Meanwhile, back at CatCo, changes are also in store for the media organization with the inclusion of Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez) in "Supergirl," who will be Kara's new boss. According to the producers, the character is much sterner than Cat Grant. Snapper Carr is based off the DC Comics source, where he is a known ally of the Justice League.

Catch the return of "Supergirl" Season 2 when it premieres on Monday, Oct. 8, at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Stay tuned for more updates on this site.
