NBA Trade Rumors: San Antonio Spurs Want Jahlil Okafor, Trading Patty Mills And Danny Green For The Philadelphia 76ers Center?

The Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor remains a hot item in the NBA trade rumor mills. According to reports, Tim Duncan's former team, San Antonio Spurs is interested with Okafor that they are willing to put the veterans Danny Green and Patty Mills on the trading block for the younger player.

Since Philadelphia 76ers admits that they have a surplus of big men and announced that they are trading one, several teams in the NBA league concentrate on Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel. Both are linked to several teams including Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks to name a few. Just recently, San Antonio Spurs is added in the list.

According to Sports Rageous, San Antonio Spurs is one of the contenders in the upcoming NBA season. After losing Tim Duncan to retirement, the team still needs to fill the huge hole he left.

Spurs acquired Paul Gasol in the free agency. However, the former Chicago Bulls power forward and center has already passed his prime. Gasol is aging and despite his skills, there is no denying that Spurs need another skilled and younger asset. That's where Jahlil Okafor comes into the picture.

Reports have it that if Spurs wanted to add the big man to their team, they could offer Philadelphia 76ers their shooting guard Danny Green and point guard Patty Mills. Both players will be a great addition to 76ers' backcourt.

At the time, 76ers have a logjam in the frontcourt with the addition of Dario Saric, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Thus, is necessary for the team to improve their backcourt to have higher chances in the playoffs.

Aside from Jahlil Okafor, there are rumors that San Antonio is working on their second batch of big three. Tim Duncan already resigned, and Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker will soon follow.
