NBA Trade Rumors: Kevin Love And DeMarcus Cousins Heading To Boston Celtics?

Boston Celtics is reportedly eyeing Kevin Love and DeMarcus Cousins but the NBA team is not decided who they would get as their other star player. This report comes after Al Horford has signed with Boston Celtics this summer but the NBA team reportedly wants to improve their roster even more.

In the past, Blake Griffin and Russell Westbrook were linked to Boston Celtics but they are most likely not to be traded. The possible new player joining Cleveland Cavaliers then comes down to Love, who is a power forward, and Cousins, who is a center, Yibada reported.

The relationship of Cousins with the Sacramento Kings has been the basis of the trade rumors since he has expressed that he is not happy with how the team developed their roster this season. Cousins was linked to other NBA teams such as Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and more. Sacramento Kings, however, debunked the trade reports saying that they will not trade him and will keep him this 2016-2017 NBA season.

If and when Boston Celtics will be able to get Cousins, they might have to pay a high price. With Cousins averaging 26.9 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in the 2015-2016 NBA season, Boston Celtics should offer the right price to Sacramento Kings. Cousins could play well alongside Horford if given the chance.

As for Love, he could possibly fit well with Boston Celtics rather than with his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Boston Celtics is reportedly interested in Love due to his shooting ability and being able to stretch the floor. He has averaged 16.0 points and 9.9 rebounds in the last NBA season.

More on Cousins, Sportsblog reported that Cleveland Cavaliers is also interested in him and they could trade Kevin Love to the Sacramento Kings. Aside from Love, Cleveland Cavaliers could also give up a few draft picks.

If Cousins will join the Cleveland Cavaliers, he would play alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving increasing their chances to be the winner of the NBA season for the 2016-2017 championship.
