New ‘Titanfall’ Mobile Game: Franchise Releases Standalone Free-to-Play Card Game

The "Titanfall" franchise is currently on a roll, with the highly anticipated release of "Titanfall 2" on gaming consoles and PC, and now, a standalone mobile game called "Titanfall: Frontline" will be available soon for smartphones this 2016.

"Titanfall," one of the most successful first-person video game franchises today, will now be releasing a new strategy game called "Titanfall: Frontline." The new mobile game will not be a first-person shooter, but instead, it will incorporate a strategic card game style, with familiar elements used in the "Titanfall" series. Players of the game may battle each other in real-time, probably by finding opponents online or through Bluetooth, by strategically combining powerful pilots, titans, and "Burn Cards" to successfully outmaneuver other players.

According to IGN, deck building is a very important aspect in "Titanfall: Frontline," as players can come up with hundreds of unique combinations of cards. Players can craft their own decks from the wide range of selections to suit their style of play, whether they prefer a quick and light damaging or wearing out an opponent with heavy defensive units. Players may also upgrade their cards throughout their game progress.

Larry Pacey, the co-founder of Particle City, says that Particle City and Respawn entertainment have worked hand-in-hand to combine card battle strategy and collectibility for the new "Titanfall" mobile game. Players can now pre-register for "Titanfall: Frontline" via the "Titanfall" website, which will grant players in-game rewards as soon as the game goes live some time this year.

As for "Titanfall 2" which will be released this October 2016, the main plot will feature a civil war in the war torn planet. The new chapter in the series will incorporate magic into the gameplay while remaining gritty, dirty, and real. The sequel will take place right after the events of the first "Titanfall" game, according to the "Titanfall 2" wiki.
